About the Compressor

School of Sound

This was made as an example of the interactive learning experiences that will be featured on the School of Sound. There's a lot of great material in the works, and more awesome tools like this coming soon.

We're making the best way to learn audio skills online for free (as in free of cost and open licensed). If you are interested in expanding your knowledge of audio, sign up on our mailing list, and we'll let you know of new course material when it arrives (absolutely no spam of course). The scope of this project is massive so we're looking for as much help as possible for building it as well. Here's how you can help:

  • Ideas. This is a new undertaking. Help us steer this!
  • Developers to build awesome audio education tools like this one
  • Audio Producers and Engineers to help create content

We're sure that already aware that teaching is one of the best ways to learn yourself! There a few pro audio producers and engineers on the team. A few pro developers and a few pro online educationers. If your interested in any of these areas, get in touch!

This compressor was made by Chris Ewald at Music Hack Day Boston for the School of Sound.
